Walton Arts Center is the state’s largest and busiest performing arts presenter located in the heart of Northwest Arkansas, the state’s fastest growing region. The organization manages a variety of venues including a 1,200-seat auditorium with proscenium stage; the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion, a 10,000-seat outdoor amphitheater; a 200-seat variable stage black box theater as well as other meeting and event spaces available for rent.

More than 340,000 people attend nearly 700 events at these venues annually, and our arts education programs reach 45,000 students, teachers and citizens statewide. With more than a quarter of a century of operating history, Walton Arts Center and the Walmart AMP have become cornerstones of the region’s cultural landscape.

The internship program requires that the internship be a prearranged and structured learning experience scheduled within a specific time-frame and pre-approved. The experience must be relevant to the intern’s academic and/or professional goals and involve work, research, or other activities which are of value and beneficial to the mission of Walton Arts Center and Walmart AMP. An internship is performed under the direct supervision of WAC/AMP staff.
